After each completed row of solar roof panels, a voltage tester must be used to check that the panels are fully and flawlessly connected to each other.
For this purpose, as shown in the following figure, the voltage between the supply cable of the system and the respective connecting cable of the current row of solar roof panels must be checked. The voltage tester only has to display a voltage, the height of which is not to be taken into account for the time being. This test must be repeated for each completed row.
Once all rows of a string have been laid, the voltage test is performed between the supply and discharge lines (see figure above).
Important
For a plausible test result, the generator surface should be completely free and not shaded by stored material or people working.
Attention
The string cables must not be contacted with each other under any circumstances.
In order to make the handover to the performing electrical contractor as smooth as possible, the cables leading into the interior of the building must be marked in pairs and clearly marked with the respective string number.
